Warts (Verruca) are common skin lesions (10% of children and adults have them). They are caused by HPV Virus infection that gets transmitted to our skin through micro-traumas (warts on hands) or contact with infected surfaces (like public swimming pools for Plantar warts on the bottom of the feet).
Left untreated, warts can spread to nearby skin and other areas of the body in addition of infecting others coming in touch with it.
Warts are seen more often on the hands, feet, neck and face, under the arms and under or around the nails as well as the peri-anal raea and the penis.
While there are multiple topical treatment modalities for warts, the simplest and the most effective one with the highest level of clearance and convenience is Laser Ablation of warts. It takes few second to do, it is essentially painless and it has over 85% success rate in 2-3 treatment sessions.
Another technique called RFA ( Radio Frequency Ablation ) is used very effectively for larger warts and genital warts, this technique has the advantage of being a one session method done under simple local anesthesia with excellent results.
To enhance this success rate, we often combine it with other modalities of simple topical treatment at home. Our patients have been very satisfied.
We perform the treatment in the first visit, fast and simple, there is no need for special appointment of preparations
