No more surgery, scars or hospital... EVLT... The Breakthrough technology

Even for the worst, largest, grape like, bulging varicose veins, the new Endolaser (pioneered few years ago by Dr. Aji and few other vascular surgeons in the USA and is now the gold standard of large varicose veins treatment across the globe) has eliminated the need for the traditional surgical "stripping" in almost all cases, it's done in the Doctor's office, in half an hour, under local anesthesia with simply, stunning results.
What are Varicose Veins and what causes them ?
Veins carry blood toward the heart through a one-way valve system. When there is a weakness in the vein wall or a faulty valve, the valve stretches and no longer closes properly. The veins become visibly enlarged, filled with blood that does not flow normally, causing pain, swelling, discoloration, sores that won't heal, blood clots and other problems, in addition to their unsightly appearance.
These enlarged veins are commonly called spider veins or varicose veins. Spider veins are small red, blue or purple veins on the surface of the skin. Varicose veins are larger distended veins that are located somewhat deeper than spider veins. Reticular veins are medium size, greenish , non bulging, yet abnormally visible veins, seen most commonly behind the knees and on the outer surface of the thighs, and they represent an early stage varicose veins.
There are many factors that contribute to the development of these unsightly veins including pregnancy, weight gain, prolonged standing, and genetics.
Heredity is the number one contributing factor causing varicose and telangiectasias, commonly referred to as spider veins. Women are more likely to suffer from these abnormal leg veins. Up to 50% of American women may be affected. Hormonal factors including puberty, pregnancy, menopause, and the use of birth control pills, estrogen, and progesterone affect the disease. It is very common for pregnant women to develop varicose veins during the first trimester. Pregnancy causes increases in hormone levels and blood volume which in turn cause veins to enlarge. In addition, the enlarged uterus causes increased pressure on the veins. Varicose veins due to pregnancy often improve within 3 months after delivery. However, with successive pregnancies, these abnormal veins are more likely to remain.
Varicose and spider veins frequently cause pain in the affected area. Symptoms include fatigue, heaviness, aching, burning, throbbing, itching, cramping, and restlessness of the legs. Leg swelling can occur. Severe varicose veins can compromise the nutrition of the skin and lead to eczema, inflammations or even ulcerations of the lower leg.
Vein disorders are not always visible; therefore diagnostic techniques are important tools in determining the cause and severity of the problem. In addition to a physical examinations, noninvasive Colored Venous Dopler Ultrasound and Veinlight tests are often used.
Varicose vein treatment no longer requires varicose vein surgery in the hospital. Our varicose vein pictures below show the results of Endo laser treatment for varicose veins which is performed in the office instead of having varicose vein stripping surgery.

The new treatment for varicose vein disease in women and men involve Endovenous Laser Treatment -EVLT- which can provide a varicose vein cure without the need for varicose vein removal. This varicose vein surgery corrects the varicose vein cause by correction the abnormal reverse blood flow in the leg when standing.
Without varicose vein therapy increasing pain, welling, bleeding, clots and ulcers on the ankle can occur.
During the initial consultation,
Dr. Aji
will discuss the symptoms of varicose veins and perform Ultrasound examination of the lower limb varicose veins to identify each patient's abnormal circulation. This diagnostic test enables Dr. Aji to choose the varicose vein treatment which will give the best results possible.
How do we treat varicose veins without surgery?
Surgery for varicose veins has become an obsolete option that we rarely, if ever, need to do. Our varicose vein clinic provides the alternative treatments of varicose veins using the best, safest and most long lasting techniques, all are done in our state of the art clinic facility, under local anesthesia, with no pain, no down time and with returning to work immediately or on the next day.
Among the techniques used routinely at VeinCure Clinic are the following:

Endovenous Laser Techniques (EVLT)
These methods for treating the deeper varicose veins of the legs (the saphenous veins) have been a huge breakthrough. They have replaced surgery for the vast majority of patients with severe varicose veins. This technique is non invasive and can be done in a doctor's office.
The doctor puts a very small tube called a catheter into the vein. Once inside, the catheter sends out radiofrequency or laser energy that shrinks and seals the vein wall. Healthy veins around the closed vein restore the normal flow of blood. As this happens, symptoms from the varicose vein improve. Veins on the surface of the skin that are connected to the treated varicose vein will also usually shrink after treatment. When needed, these connected varicose veins can be treated with sclerotherapy or other techniques.

A complement to the laser procedure -EVLT- is Microphlebectomy, a procedure which removes the unsightly bulging veins through very small openings. It may be combined with the -EVLT- and does not require general anesthesia. As a result, the operation is safer and prevents the side effects of dizziness and nausea. Scars are eliminated. Patients can drive home and resume normal activities immediately.
With the -EVLT- procedure and its counterpart Microphlebectomy becoming the Gold Standard for the effective treatment of varicose veins, many more people who suffer from this common malady will be rid of the pain and embarrassment associated with them.
Virtually, all insurance companies in the USA cover EVLT. Insurance companies in UAE are catching up.
Illuminated Endoscopic Varicose Veins Removal
(Available exclusively at VeinCure Clinic) With this surgery, a small fiber optic catheter is used to see all the veins under the skin. Then varicose veins are then removed through another small catheter that has a circular tiny rotary hidden razor blade at its tip which basically "eats up" the dilated unsightly veins under direct vision . This procedure is done as an office procedure under local anesthesia with some mild sedation, and the patient can return to work the very next day.
With this new varicose vein treatment, large clusters of varicose veins can be accurately removed through a minimal number of small incisions and is far more effective than other forms of varicose vein surgery. Patients recover quickly and enjoy excellent cosmetic results. Although there is no 100% perfect varicose vein cure, this procedure minimizes the chances of persistent veins, thus highly reducing the need for follow-up treatments.
Varicose Vein Post Treatment Instructions:
- Compression stockings will be in place initially.
- Normal activities can be resumed immediately.
- Exercise programs can be resumed after two week.
- There is no incision, no stiches, no scars...and no veins.
Possible Side Effects of advanced varicose veins treatments:
- Slight bruising.
- Temporary numbness.
