How are varicose and spider veins treated at VeinCure Clinic?
After a thorough clinical evaluation and possibly venous Triplex Ultrasound of the leg veins, a treatment plan will be designed to meet the individual patient's needs. Treatment may consist of a combination of surface laser, sclerotherapy, and/or Endolaser treatments as described before.
The number of visits required to clear all the veins will be determined by the Doctor according to the amount and type of veins you have. Most of our patients choose to have their first treatment session immediately during their first consultation, otherwise, it could be scheduled at another convenient appointment.
All treatments are discretely performed in the privacy of our treatment suites at the clinic, directly by Dr. Aji and his Assistant, there is no or very minimal discomfort involved, and you'll be shown first hand your results and all patients are able to return immediately to work. There will be a female nurse caring for the patient at all times.
What recovery is involved?
Normal activity may be resumed immediately, Legs should be elevated during rest periods and walking is encouraged. Strenuous exercise may be resumed after two weeks. Wearing elastic stockings is highly recommended since this improves the cosmetic and functional results of the treatment, but it is not necessary after laser spider veins treatment.
What side effects can be anticipated?
Some slight itching may be noted at treated sites from a few minutes up to a day or two following treatment. Transient discoloration of the skin, in the form of a pale brown stain appearing along the pathways of the treated veins, may occur. Generally, these resolve within 4 weeks, but on rare occasions have taken up to 6 months to disappear.
Will the veins come back?
In a small percentage of patients, the natural tendency to form spider veins will lead to the formation of new clusters in other areas many months or years following treatment. It is recommended to treat those areas as they appear during a touch-up or maintenance session.
The well-informed doctor or patient will refer to or seek treatment directly from a specialist, i.e. specialized vascular surgeon.
With over 1000 treatments per month, the Clinic's vast experience allows us to treat even the most difficult cases with excellent results. During your visit to our Clinic, you will be able to review our photography library with many examples of before and after pictures.
What about facial veins?
The blush-like blemishes commonly seen on the face and called telangiectasias are the result of sun exposure and genetic predisposition. Laser treatment is highly effective for these blemishes as well as the thread reddish or green veins seen around the nose and the eyes and on the cheeks. Another treatable condition seen in adults is rosacea, which responds equally well to laser therapy. Most facial veins can be treated and erased in one or two visits.
On certain occasions, the Doctor may recommend a total Photorejuvenation session for treating the mutiple vascular and pigmented lesions on the face.
Are the treatments expensive?
Vein treatments are relatively inexpensive, particularly when compared to other cosmetic procedures. If the veins are causing symptoms or there is a medical necessity, many insurance plans will cover all or part of the treatment. Endolaser treatment is almost always covered by most insurance and managed care plans. An estimate of costs, along with payment options, will be provided at the time of your first consultation.
While VeinCure Clinic does not accept insurance, and payment is expected at the time of service, we will fill out all your insurance forms you need to recover your payments from the insurance under the rules of your policy and we will give you a receipt for what you paid.
We also can provide you with a medical necessity report that describes your diagnosis and the results of your Venous Ultrasound and the treatment recommended and its cost.
We accept cash, credit cards and wire transfer as alternative methods of payment.
We do not accept personal checks.
We do extend special payment plans to our patients who live under economically challenging conditions.

How do I choose a vein/laser specialist?
Many medical specialists provide vein treatment services: Vascular Surgeons ( most qualified to deal with veins), Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons and others. The best results are obtained when the treatments are performed by a highly experienced Vascular specialist. The informed patient will ask his or her physician the following questions:
. Are you American Board Certified in your specialty?
. What percentage of your practice is devoted to vein treatments?
. Are you a Fellow in a recognized College or association (eg. American College of Surgeons)?
. Do you attend meetings pertaining to the treatment of veins?
The patient should not be embarrassed to ask these questions. The ethical physician would encourage these inquiries.
It's an obvious conclusion that a clinic devoted only to Vein treatment would offer a much better service to veins patients, and since VeinCure is the leading Clinic in the UAE in dedicating its practice entirely to vein treatments, we do more vein treatments at any given day than all of the 87 cosmetic clinics and hospitals in Dubai combined, this success has been based purely on our own satisfied patients referring others.
